Just like putting together patches, Stitch allows users to reuse fragments of other people's videos to create a response video, just as if it were a retweet on Twitter, but of course, in this case on TikTok and with content from video.
To achieve this, Stitch allows you to cut and integrate Email Data new video scenes and as the same platform assures “ Like Duet, Stitch is a way to reinterpret and add content to another user, based on their stories, tutorials, recipes, math lessons and more".
As you can see in the video example above, Stitch is essentially a more integrated version of the current “Duet” feature, where users use another's video to respond.
And currently Duet and video remixes have become a key part of the interaction of TikTok users, a way in which they get involved and achieve engagement on the platform, so adding a more solid response option and with greater options it makes a lot of sense for the Bytedance social network.
Of course, concern about user safety continues to be a constant for the social network, especially if we take into account that at least a third of its users in the United States are under 14 years of age. So TikTok also thought about Stitch's privacy settings :
“Users will be able to decide through their configuration panel whether or not other users can join their content, just as happens with Duet. The option can be accessed on the Privacy page from “Settings,” where users can enable or disable Stitch for all videos , or toggle the option for each individual video.
It is important to note that each video made with Stitch attributes the content to the original creator in the title of the new video , so appropriation of the authorship of each of the videos will not be allowed.
